The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday approved a massive investment package worth ₹1.27 lakh crore, paving the way for a new wave of industrial, tourism, and digital infrastructure projects across the State. The approved projects are expected to generate nearly 78,800 jobs across key sectors including renewable energy, technology, and rural governance.
Addressing the media at the Secretariat, Information, Public Relations and Housing Minister K. Parthasarathy said the Cabinet gave its nod to multiple high-impact proposals — ranging from power and data centre projects to tourism infrastructure and governance reforms.
“These investments represent a transformative step in positioning Andhra Pradesh as an innovation-driven and industry-friendly state,” said Mr. Parthasarathy.

🏭 Major Projects Approved
Among the notable approvals:
- A 2,000 MW pumped storage power project in Vizianagaram district,
- The Reliance Consumer Project at Orvakallu,
- Construction of star hotels at major tourist destinations, and
- A comprehensive redevelopment plan for Srisailam Temple and surrounding areas to boost pilgrimage tourism.
“These initiatives will not only attract investment but also enhance the state’s tourism potential,” the Minister added.
💻 LIFT Policy 4.0 Amendment to Attract Tech Investments
The Cabinet approved key amendments to the Land Incentive for Tech Hubs (LIFT) Policy 4.0 (2024–29) — aimed at promoting medium-scale IT and tech enterprises in tier-2 cities.
The revised policy offers ready-to-use land valued at ₹4 crore per acre to eligible companies that:
- Commit to creating at least 500 jobs, and
- Begin operations within 12 months of allotment.
Mr. Parthasarathy announced that data centres worth ₹87,000 crore will be set up in Visakhapatnam, including 480 acres allocated for Google’s Data Centre Campus.
⚙️ New Industrial Investments Across Andhra Pradesh
Other major industrial proposals include:
- An advanced carbon complex in Anakapalli district,
- A cement manufacturing plant in Palnadu, and
- Aerospace and automotive component units at Gudipalli and Tekulodu in Anantapur district.
These projects, worth ₹5,800 crore, are expected to create 6,646 direct and indirect jobs, the Minister said.
☀️ Renewable Energy Push
The Cabinet cleared four major proposals from the Energy Department to strengthen the State’s clean energy portfolio and green employment ecosystem:

🏘️ Governance Reforms for Rural Andhra Pradesh
In a significant governance reform, the Cabinet approved the reclassification of 13,351 gram panchayats as independent administrative units. The government will divide them into four revenue-based grades to enhance local administration.
The designation of Panchayat Secretaries will be upgraded to Panchayat Development Officers (PDOs), empowering them with greater administrative and developmental responsibilities.
“This is a major step toward improving service delivery, decentralizing administration, and empowering local governance,” the Minister said.
