Even before its official launch, the Skoda Octavia RS 2025 has taken India’s performance car market by storm. Skoda Auto India announced that all 100 units of the limited-run Octavia RS have been completely sold out, less than a week after pre-bookings opened.
The much-awaited sedan will be officially launched on October 17, with deliveries scheduled to begin in November 2025. Bookings were accepted for a token amount of ₹2.5 lakh, and the on-road price is expected to hover around ₹50 lakh.

⚡ Limited Edition Imported as CBU
The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS will arrive in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). This performance-oriented sedan has built a cult following among Indian enthusiasts ever since the earlier RS245 edition launched in 2020.
The new model brings refreshed styling, upgraded interiors, and a powerful turbo-petrol engine while retaining the practicality and sharp handling that made the Octavia RS a segment benchmark.
“We are overwhelmed by the response. The Octavia RS continues to represent pure driving passion — blending everyday usability with track-ready performance,” a Skoda India spokesperson said.
🏎️ 2.0-Litre TSI Engine: 216 HP of Pure Thrill
Under the hood, the Octavia RS packs a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine tuned to produce 216 hp and 370 Nm of peak torque. The power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, offering lightning-quick gear shifts.
According to Skoda’s global specifications, this setup enables the Octavia RS to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.
Unlike its European counterpart, however, the Indian-spec model will not feature Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) — a feature that allows adaptive suspension tuning.
🧩 Sporty Design & Feature-Rich Interior
The Octavia RS continues to stand out with its aggressive design cues, including:
- LED Matrix headlights with DRLs
- 18-inch alloy wheels
- Lowered stance (15 mm lower than standard Octavia)
- RS badging and dual exhaust setup
Inside, the cabin gets sport bucket seats, contrast stitching, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and several RS-specific trim elements that highlight its sporty DNA.
🛞 Performance Meets Precision
The Czech automaker has tuned the suspension and exhaust setup for a more engaging drive compared to the standard Octavia. The RS variant gets larger brakes, stiffer dampers, and a distinct exhaust note for an exhilarating experience on highways and twisty roads alike.
While this model will serve as a niche offering, it reinforces Skoda’s strategy to maintain its enthusiast-focused image in India.
