The Made-in-India SUV Jimny 5-door has achieved a significant global milestone, crossing 1 lakh cumulative exports since shipments began in 2023. Manufactured exclusively in India by Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the off-road SUV is now exported to over 100 countries, making it the company’s second most exported model after the Fronx.

Maruti Suzuki began exporting the Jimny 5-door shortly after its India debut in 2023. The vehicle gained massive traction in international markets due to its compact design, legendary off-road capability, and trusted Suzuki engineering.
When launched in Japan earlier this year as the “Jimny Nomade”, the SUV created a sensation — over 50,000 bookings were recorded within days. This overwhelming demand in Japan, one of the world’s most demanding automobile markets, reflects the Jimny’s global appeal and build quality.
Built on a ladder-frame chassis and powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, the SUV features Suzuki’s ALLGRIP PRO (4WD) system for enhanced off-road control. It’s engineered to deliver robust performance both on rugged trails and city streets — a balance that has made it a preferred choice among adventure enthusiasts worldwide.
